Cabins in the Woods
We are blessed with two incredible venues for our beautiful cabins. One has the ranch setting and the other is our new cabins in the woods. . .

We have found that people are stressed out and need some down time. That is what we have developed for our guests. Close to  Glacier National Park cabins in the woods -- you can see your neighbors yet are in an amazingly private setting. We put in the best mattresses (pillow topped), down comforters, and luxurious bedspreads and lots of pillows. Sarah says sometimes she has to wake people up as they are so relaxed and need to check out as we have more people coming in for their beds! MANY have extended their stays. That is a real compliment to us.
Yet, the cabins are just minutes from the Gaynor Ranch and 6 miles from Whitefish, Montana and 25 minutes from Glacier National Park -- they seem so remote you forget there is another world out there. They are the perfect location for your Glacier or Whitefish vacation. There are great hiking paths around the property and great places to relax and enjoy nature. We just opened in 2006 these so the cabins still look new.

Our family started envisioning this Montana cabin rental project in 2006. People were amazed at how quickly the resort came together. We just keep getting better. We added a Mongolian Yurt for gatherings: team building area, a company gathering, a family reunion, a wedding, or a sports camp. All are welcome at our facility.

WE CAN SLEEP UP TO 58-75 PEOPLE HERE IN OUR  VILLAGE.
Imagine having your own little village so secluded, yet minutes to Whitefish or Glacier National Park
People who have stayed in the woods
before ALWAYS request it when them come
back again.  The cabins are nicely done, very clean and the tranquility is outstanding.  Watch the deer out your window.  Hike around the 33 acres.  You will feel so isolated yet you are only 10 minutes from Whitefish .
Still thinking about the great time we spent at your cabins. I know that all my New York relatives
loved it.  Here are a couple of
pictured for you to see and use. I
hope my brother and sisters will
send you some also.

Visit the Gratitude Peak and Medicine Wheel
GRATITUDE PEAK AND MEDICINE WHEEL AREA
On the far east part of the property, (SEE SIGNS STARTING AT MAIN HOUSE) high on a cliff you will be able to look out over the valley.  There is a Medicine Wheel there as well as a Gratitude Tree.  One rule that we have is that when you start the climb on the Gratitude Peak is that you leave your worries at the bottom and when you come back down, do not pick them up!  Also, if you would like to tie a ribbon on the Gratitude Tree, please pick some up at the office.  Or you may want to go back and leave it later.  Please do not take young children up there as the cliffs are really steep and they could fall.  There is a play house on the hill above the Yurt that is for the young people to enjoy.

Why build a Medicine Wheel?
We created Medicine Wheel to be used by ourselves and our visitors for meditation, introspection, prayer, healing and enlightenment.  We built it to assist in teaching about life, healing, and finding our true selves. It holds the answers to keeping ourselves and our planet healthy, balanced, and safe for future generations. It is a wheel of love, a wheel of light, a wheel of peace, a wheel of wisdom and a wheel of harmony between all things. The Wheel is a gift and a blessing to all who experience it.   Nancy Gaynor and Geri our manager in the woods are both members of the Kootenai Tribe whose ancestors have been in this area for over 14,000 years.

What is a Medicine Wheel?
Forms of ceremonial circles exist all around the world, from the great stone circles of Europe to Hindu mandalas. A Medicine Wheel is an ancient form of ceremonial circle used by Native Americans for teaching, meditation, prayer, healing and celebration. Just as stained glass windows and mosaics in ancient Christian cathedrals were used to teach Bible stories to people who could not read, so too were Medicine Wheels used to instruct The People. From stories and oral history associated with the quadrants and individual stones of The Wheel, they learn about their relationship with Nature and the Spirit World, the cycles of life, connection to their past and the interconnectedness of all things. They were also used as gathering places for ceremony and celebration and acted as connection points to contact the unseen world of the “Grandfathers” or Spirit Beings.  In that respect, a Medicine Wheel also functions as an altar.  Wheels were designed to meet the needs and beliefs of those who created them.

Each quadrant of The Wheel holds a different energy and represents a season of the year, stage of life, area of our Being (Physical, emotional, mental, and Spiritual) and a different kind of healing. Together they create a balanced whole in a specific relationship to one another. They instruct us about all aspects of life, ourselves, and the world around us. They teach us about the cycles of life, death, and rebirth and how they relate to Nature, the seasons  and the Universe.

WE ARE ALL ONE PEOPLE ON THE MEDICINE WHEEL
The Medicine Wheel increases self-esteem and just simply makes you feel good about yourself;
it grounds you in the truth of who you are as someone who matters.
The Medicine Wheel symbolizes the individual journey we each must take to find our own path. Within the Medicine Wheel are The Four Directions and the Four Sacred Colors. The Circle represents the Circle of Life and the Center of the Circle, the Eternal Fire. The Eagle, flying toward the East, is a symbol of strength, endurance and vision. East signifies the renewal of life.   ENJOY YOUR JOURNEY AND THANKS SHARING GRATITUDE PEAK WITH US.
